Leon Niemoczynski teaches in the department of philosophy for Immaculata University.  His research focuses predominantly on the philosophy of nature, where he is especially interested in issues pertaining to philosophical naturalism, logic and metaphysics, aesthetics, German idealism, philosophical ecology, environmental philosophy, and environmental philosophy's relationship to the philosophy of religion.

He is the author of Charles Sanders Peirce and a Religious Metaphysics of Nature (Lexington Books, 2011) and is a co-editor of the forthcoming A Philosophy of Sacred Nature: Prospects for Ecstatic Naturalism.
